Weekend 16-18 July - Northside invasion

18/7/2011

A gang of 5 gathered to tackle a range of Northside multi & puzzle caches. Basil the Beemer was assigned driving duties and we were off.  Of course we won't mention that earlier planning had thought this was a good opportunity to head to the wilds of Namaadgi but someone poo-poo'd that idea by threats of inclement weather.  Yup, a beaut day but we took any opportunity to throw sticks at her (Oooh, does that give it away???) to remind her.
We visied the slopes of Campbell, the meanderings of Sullivans Creek, the foothills of Mt Majura, the wilds of Goldcreek, with a tasty stop-over at the George Harcourt for lunch, the slopes of Harcourt Hill and the wilds of Gungahlin which wasn't very wild.  Colleen, my Irish Navigator lady who lives in the TomTom proved she was both dumber and smarter than us.  My camera didn't make it out of its bag so I have snaffled the photos from the team.  Thanks Chris, Jeremy, Richard and Paul for a fun day.
A quick maintenance trip to a cache of mine in Tidbinbilla.  I had a feeling I was being watched and I turned around and an inquisitive beak was looking over my shoulder.  A bit unnerving !
