First stop was a magnetic nano hidden on guard rail at the top. Great views of the airport on the way up! 2nd stop was about 250m straight down the steep side of Mt Majura, no trail and the photo doesn't do any justice at all. Then a clamber back up to the top, followed by walk back down the road with an excursion to the Majura Glenn, an absolutely beautiful Casuarina forest which I didn't take an y pictures of ! Damn ! Photos do include the Google Earth track of the jaunt !
What a wild, icy wind was blowing! Parked at the gate at the bottom of the access rd to the Radar facility on Mt Majura. I actually spent quite a few minutes deciding on what layers of clothing I would wear. There was a chance of showers which would probably fall as snow, I was hiking up a steep hill but would be doing some very slow stuff off-piste. Decided on T-shirt, flannel shirt, fleece sleeveless vest and gortex light jacket and ski gloves. You know what, I think I got it right!
