![]() Camelback Fire Trail - where the sun don't shine A 9:00 ish start, the carpark was about 3 C and I was going upwards. A loose plan was to scale Tidbinbilla peak but I couldn't find the route (there is no trail as such), and it was quite dense and steep and a bit silly for a solo walker. So I headed off the fire-trail to where I new there was a cache though I didn't have all the information. The climb was steady, the cold increasing and many parts of the trail were covered in snow. Finally got to Pierces Trig Point but the cache was hidden on the side of a cliff and I felt quite dizzy near the edge so I enjoyed the views instead. All up, a 17.1 km hike but worth every step for the breathtaking views.
