Spent a good 30 minutes looking for the cache. The rocks were very slippery and I had left my EPIRB at home. Really didnt want to fall to my death. Just about to give up when I spied the little blighter. Phew ! All up a 5k stroll but it would be a bit hairy in summer with the off-trail bits and long grass.
A grey old day with rain threatening. These sort of days bring out the colour of the Eucalypts in the Australian Bush. No actual rain which was good. Off to find a cache that was perched on a steep slope above a bubbling creek, with a Blackberry Forest waiting to devour those who might fall. As I approached the GZ, I took in a magnificent dog-fight above as 3 smaller birds took on a wedge tail eagle. My heavily cropped photo doesn't do justice but it was amazing to watch.
