Was a foggy start in Canberra but the forecast was for 19 degrees so it was hard to pick what to wear. Nevertheless, just after setting off, the temperature did seem to rise so items of clothing were stripped off.
It is a much nicer walk than the old fire-trail. The climb is generally more gentle with much traversing. Rock steps have been installed in the steeper places and there are a few benches and viewing spots along the way......and the views are spectacular.
Once we got to the top, we found a sheltered spot and enjoyed our lunch and coffee. I slithered down the rocks and found a cache that had been alluded me for a few years. It did its best to continue to allude me but all was good in the end. The walk down was much easier and I did manage to hide a cache along the way. Ahhhh, hell, let's top off a great day by a quick pillage at Costco !
