Boboyan Trig & the Yerrabi walking track

Down Namadgi way, in fact quite close to my last adventure is another delightful little walk.  I think this is a great walk to introduce people to bushwalking in Namadgi as there is a footpad the entire way so one does not have to fight through any undergrowth.  The birdlife sounds terrific (see Facebook for a video where I tried to capture some sounds).

There are 5 distinct zones that this walk will take you through,  The first part is a Peppermint forest that leads down to the swampy grassland (there are little bridges to keep you dry).  You then climb through a Mountain gum/Snow gum forest untill you reach the actual Hill top.  Continuing past the trig on a slightly less defined path will take you down an amazing staircase and out to a wonderful granite viewing platform.

There were 2 caches in the general vicinity and shortly there will be a third.  It is a good road that brings you here with maybe the last 10k being a well-graded dirt road.  However,  care needs to be taken as there are lots of wild-life with no road sense.

Looking forward to another walk to the top for the new cache. Enjoy the granite up there.....
