Last day of winter and it was looking like a pearler. Was starting work latish so lots of time for a stroll. Another TankEngine special to a seldom visited geocache - I was its second visitor since it was placed in May. Very productive looking machine that I have no idea what it used to do. If you go to my Facebook page, you will see a video that records the special sounds that were present on the walk.
Funny sort of start to the day, there was a slight scent to the air.....could be ........early fake spring already ???? Better put it and my dodgy knee to the test so a walk to the old Tidbinbilla homestead "Nil Desperandum" was in order. I last did the walk in summer a few years back and the good news is, there is a new bridge crossing the creek at the beginning and a recommended trail that doesn't include that heart-break hill. It adds a few kilometres in its stead so I tried both ways over the return journey. The clouds came over quite suddenly as well and I really thought I might be in for a soaking.
Of course, there is a relatively new Multi-cache that compliments the existing Multi-cache that has been there for a few more years. Some interesting little spots that you may not know would be there. All up, a very enjoyable saunter but my knee is still not right from its fence-capades from a week or so ago.
Bushwalking & Geocaching a match made in heaven.
