New Molonglo by bike

Caching by bike is the new paradigm!  What a wally, me using 'paradigm" on my own web-site !

A 26 (ish) kilometre cache on this lovely looking Sunday!  Started with a pedal through the magnificent Westbourne Woods with the odd sound of a golfer thwacking the day-lights out of a small defenseless ball.  Stopped for our regular search for the elusive bridge banter cache near the Govenor General's!  Usual outcome of a DNF !  Then onto the bike path that follows the Molonglo.  A nice ride earlier in the day but there is not much shade.  Explored the new suburb of "Wright" in the new town of "Molonglo" aka the new firebreak.  A quick find on a nao cache then onto the hill behind Duffy.  Now that I have raised the seat on beloved's bike, she is hard to keep up with but that heartbreak hill up Eucumbene Drive soon had her sorted.  I was on my own for the "hoist the bike over the stile" caper  so I only did the one  cache.  Well that and being in cycling shorts and the long grass and wriggly sticks made the decision making process a bit easier.

Got up to 41kph just free wheeling down Warragamba Ave whilst "brakes" Fitzgerald may have done it a bit slower.  Still, a great ride, now to rest my sorry bottom somewhere very soft and gentle ! Remember, click on the thumb-nail for a larger version!
